Established in 1890 in Vienna, Valartis Bank (Austria) AG became part of the Valartis Group in 2008 and specializes in fulfilling the financial needs and requirements of international clients around the world.

The Bank's original founder, Sigmund Rosenfeld, came to Vienna in his early twenties to begin his career in finance. After more than 20 years of experience within the banking sector, Rosenfeld decided to set up Bankhaus Rosenfeld based on his innovative ideas about private banking services and the importance of client relationships.

Valartis Bank (Austria) AG is still located in the original five storey building in the heart of Vienna, a few steps away from the City Hall (Rathaus) and Vienna's University. The lower floors housed the original bank while the spacious apartments above were home to the Rosenfeld family.

The bank has always had a history of consistently growing its international client base by helping people with their individual financial needs.

The reliance on personal client contact is as important to us today as it was on the first day of business in 1890.
